YES! YES! YES!

My car broke down several times (several? make that MANY!) between New Orleans and Georgia some years ago.
OK, it was many years ago.
Southern HOSPITALITY saved this good for nuthin' Yankee's life. That was the 70's.
The truckers always treated me to biscuits and sausage gravy at the truck stops.
The grannies always fed me excellent local cuisine and my favorite meal became sausage gravy over biscuits.
For years I have been trying to duplicate the taste(and therefore the wonderful memories)in my kitchen.
but I was not successful.
I am in my sixties and I hankered for those days gone by of my youth, the kindness of the folk down South and sausage gravy over biscuits.
because my niece forced a computer on me I started to use it.
I found this recipe so I got all the ingredients together and made it. First time I was SO nervous I burned everything. Several tries later I astonished myself to a successful meal of sausage gravy over biscuits. !!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!
FINALLY!
Then I invited some friends over for Sunday breakfast and prepared this recipe. They were very satisfied and I am happy to say they loved the taste.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for this recipe!
(and my niece who forced me into the 21st century)
Your recipe was spot on. My memories are lovingly savored every time I make this meal.
Bless you!
