If you've been looking for a recipe for macaroni salad like your Mama used to make...this definitely won't disappoint!
Any picnic without a big 'ol dish of a macaroni pasta salad just wouldn't be complete! This cold pasta salad recipe will bring back memories of when you were a kid and Mama would whip up a big 'ol bowl of macaroni salad to go along with those burgers and chili dogs for the 4th of July!
Here's what you'll need:
2 cups of uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 of a green pepper, finely chopped
1/2 of a red pepper, finely chopped
1 stalk of celery, finely chopped
1 carrot, shredded
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of Gulden's Spicy Brown Mustard
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of celery seed
3 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
2 hard boiled eggs
1/2 cup of milk
Paprika for sprinkling on top (optional)
Here's what you need to do:
Cook the macaroni according to the package directions. Drain. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the paprika. make sure it is mixed up really well. Refrigerate at least two hours before serving.
