Whether you're in a hurry or you just don't want to heat up the kitchen, these no bake cookie recipes are something just a little different from conventional cookies.
This cookie recipe has been around for a long time. I remember as a kid this was one of the few things in the school cafeteria that was really good. These are so easy to make and will truly satisfy any chocolate craving.
Here's what you'll need:
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of sugar
1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup of butter
3 cups of quick cooking oats
1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Here's what you need to do:
In a heavy bottom saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, milk and butter.
Heat over medium heat, mixing well.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and immediately add the oats, peanut butter and vanilla.
Mix well.
Drop by heaping spoonful onto waxed paper and cool for 30 minutes before enjoying.
**You can see from the picture above that I used tin foil. I was out of waxed paper and it can be used in a pinch but waxed paper works just as well and is so much cheaper.
I'm sure you'll enjoy this recipe for no bake cookies.
