If you're looking for a hot wings recipe with a little flare, this grilled chicken wings recipe is sure to impress.
Depending upon how you like your hot wings, you can adjust the amount of butter in the hot sauce to make your wings hotter or milder. For hotter wings, use less butter for milder wings, more butter.
Here's what you are going to need:
For the marinade:
6 pounds of Chicken wings, cut at the joints and wing tips removed
1 cup of Low sodium Soy Sauce
1 cup of Italian Salad Dressing
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
For the hot sauce:
1/2 cup of hot sauce
1/2 cup of butter, melted
Here's what you need to do:
In a large 1 gallon size ZipLock freezer bag, combine soy sauce and Italian Dressing.
**If you don't have a freezer bag, you can just use a glass dish or bowl.
Add the garlic powder and ground ginger.
Use a wire whisk to mix well.
Add the chicken wings to the marinade and seal the bag. Squish the bag to get all of the wings coated. Refrigerate for anywhere from 4 to 24 hours. I did these for about 24 hours. The longer you marinate them the more flavorful they will be.
Take the chicken wings from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Cook the wings on a preheated grill (medium heat), turning fairly often, until the chicken is well browned and no longer pink, about 30 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the hot sauce and melted butter.
Put your finished wings into the bowl with the hot sauce.
Toss to coat. Now all that's left is to enjoy these grilled chicken wings!
